“After forty years in dentistry I still enjoy the challenge of tailoring treatment to suit different patient's needs and wishes, to deal with the unexpected emergencies that arise on a daily basis and to create an atmosphere in the Practice that patients find welcoming and our team enjoy working in.

I have enjoyed watching many of my patients mature through to adulthood and to discover that they are confident with the Practice to bring their young families. Throughout these years I have worked hard to keep up with innovations and am often surprised by the advances coming forward. My aim is to create a friendly family practice where our future patients are our children, who we invest time and energy into so they can see their teeth as precious and Comber Dental Practice as the ideal place to care for their dental health.

For relaxation I enjoy socialising with my now adult children and friends, one of whom has a well-used private cinema. I also enjoy golf, dog walking and pottering aimlessly in the garden – hard to beat a petrol driven garden tool!”

  • What’s your earliest memory of Comber?

Sitting watching a James Bond movie in Comber Cinema – more than forty five years ago!  Ice-cream at the intermission was a real treat.

  • What’s the best advice you’ve been given?

The father of a disabled child once said to me, “If money will fix it, then stop worrying.”  Not always that easy to do but from his perspective, so true.

  • What’s on your bucket list?

I have a long list of famous golf courses in wonderful places I would love to play, but mostly to be around for lots of grandchildren.

  • What’s your favourite aspect of Comber?

No debate – the great people.  City people with good country values.

  • Which temptations can’t you resist?

Not sure that I’m allowed to say, but dark chocolate and a nice malt whiskey.
