Katherine graduated as a civil engineer from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh in 1993. 

After working for a firm of consulting engineers in Belfast for over ten years, she took a career break when her daughters were born. She has been working in Comber Dental Practice since 2006.

  • What’s your earliest memory of Comber?

    Watching a large tree fall in Killynether Wood with my Dad.

  • What’s the best advice you’ve been given?

    Success is happiness. If you find joy in at least one thing each day, no matter how small, then you've found success.

  • What’s on your bucket list?

    Skiing in USA with my family.

  • What’s your favourite aspect of Comber?

    I love feeling that I belong here, I was born and brought up in Comber and there are a lot of happy memories for me here.

  • Which temptations can’t you resist?

    Any type of biscuit, especially chocolate ones.

  • What’s your favorite place in and around Comber?

    A little stoney beach on Mahee Island, I love Strangford Lough and the views from this spot are magical and peaceful.
