Ian Blair qualified in 1992 from Edinburgh University and completed the Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies in 1997 from the University of Bristol. He joined Comber Dental Practice in 1993 and became a partner in 2003. He has a special interest in restoring implants and aesthetic dentistry.

“The aspect of my job that I enjoy the most is turning an extremely nervous patient, with a long standing deep seated fear, into a relaxed happy person who is no longer nervous coming to the dentist because they understand what treatment they are going to have, how it will be carried out and most importantly that it won’t hurt.

I love to see the happiness on the face of my patients - they’ve had dental treatment without discomfort; have achieved the smile they wanted that gives them new confidence; and they are now more aware of how to care for their teeth.

In my free time I enjoy competing in marathons and triathlons, watching rugby, gourmet food and spending time with my family”
