Our History

The Comber Dental Practice building started life as the home of the manager of the now defunct, Old Comber Whiskey Distillery, and was built early last century.  The whiskey business was obviously thriving as the building was very well constructed with its eye-catching chimneys.  The Murphy family then took possession of the house with father and son, John, both living and working as GPs from number 18.  In 1993 it was sold and was re-invented as, Comber Dental Practice, which had relocated from premises adjacent to the Northern Bank on Killinchy Street.

Over the last fifteen years the building has needed a little TLC, with a new roof, chimney repairs, driveway and other items, but for the most part the house is as good as, or maybe even a little better than, the day it was built.
